FAQ for DAH Builders
Here are some frequently asked questions we receive...

How are we different from national builders?
We’re not a cookie‑cutter home factory. While we offer a selection of featured floor plans, every one of them can be customized to fit your lifestyle and vision. We also keep dedicated teams on-site throughout the build to ensure quality control and adherence to your timeline—because delays don’t just waste time, they cost you money.
As a custom home builder, how long does the design phase take?
Typically, the design phase takes about 2–3 weeks. During this time, you’ll have a clear and consistent line of communication with our team. We collaborate closely with you at every step to refine your ideas and ensure your home’s design is exactly what you envision.
Does DAH have the proper builder licenses and certifications?
While Texas does not require home builders to hold a state-issued builder’s license, DAH chooses to maintain professional certifications and operate to strict building standards. We take pride in delivering homes that are thoughtfully crafted, structurally sound, and engineered to stand the test of time—so you avoid costly issues down the road.
Why should you build on your own lot?
Building on your own land offers several advantages. If you already own the property, you may save on site development costs—especially if utilities are already in place. You also have the freedom to select a location that fits your lifestyle, whether that’s a spacious rural lot, a wooded retreat, or a homesite with a unique or scenic view.
